Those additives from SCA and Repco etc, to clean radiator, do they actually work! Or are they a waste of money!

I didnt waste my time for 80 buks got 5 yr old radiator taken apart and rodded, Made ALL the difference!

There is no shortcuts to a pro proper job done, they best you can do is change the fluids regulary so it doesn't build up with crap. Just like everything with cars it needs changing at some point.

Exactly.If however you do end up with a vehicle with a rusty cooling system you are better off simply flushing the system out with water, running it for a few days and repeating the process until it no longer discolours the water, THEN getting the radiator removed and rodded out properly.
