Can anybody tell me if the rear lower trailing arm bushes are press in and out! trying to decide if I'll do them meself or take it to the garage. ef2 fairmont sedan

Yes can be pressed, will need a hydraulic press though as they can be a bit tight with age.

that's what I feared - just did rear rotors and pads. rotors were nicely rusted on to hubs but persuaded them off. Think I might take arms off and take them in to be done. I don't have a press

Yes, but do you have a big vice, a big hammer, a big punch and 3/4 drive selection of sockets!

You don't need a press.

You can draw it out and the new one in with a bolt & nut, some flat bar and a piece of pipe (or socket).

Or you could do the same job in 2 mins in a press.

If you take the arms in and take them into a workshop I'm sure one of the boys won't mind doing them for your for a beer or something

Yep they don't mind so much when I bring it in - I supply them with the odd 24 pack so they are pretty generous

Plus taking the other end off, travel to and from, refitting the other end.
