What is the easiest/best way to work out the market value of a car!Have looked on Trade Me but prices vary a lot depending on if they are through car dealers or private.Trying to work this out for insurance and they say I need to give them the market value!Cheers :-)

Just work out a average sum from the listings you see. If they pay out market value then it will be paid whatever the assessor thinks its worth at the time something happens to it, or if its for agreed value then you can give a higher amount but their computers adjust the value automatically every year.

I tried that but it only brought up 29 cars and only one had a bid on meeting reserve.

use carjam.co.nz and there is turners attached usually they show what they sell the cars for avarage.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
