hey homer, don't forget your rack and peanut steering.

snoopy221, Jun 26, 5:09am
aH . but
CAN YOU IDENTIFY THE RACK FROM A PHOTO!
P.S. is that a self elevating pinion involved with that rack!

snoopy221, Jun 26, 5:46am
Yes self elevating pinions and the inherrant rack qaulity and the relevant leakage can be a problem.
However the best analogy IMHO.
would be as SIMPLE as fish and chips and sauce
I.E sometimes it just well not only tastes better wet.
but well the moistness of the sauce can enhance the moment.
Oh and a too dry a rack can be tight and binding. rather anal so some
rack assosciated leakage is within design paramaters.
I don't really like some of the manufactured ones though.

Yes i have heard it rumored they are a tad dry.
Not inherantly self lubricating design.

Not inherantly self lubricating design.

Yes the original manufacturers part
can be a LOT better than the imitation.
However SOME asian parts can be of VERY good quality.I.E.
too heavy and clumsy, they will get roll over steer at some point. Or roll over and
nOT USUALLY THE CASE WITH A LATE MODEL LOW MILEAGE ASIAN ONE-lol
