Yes self elevating pinions and the inherrant rack qaulity and the relevant leakage can be a problem. However the best analogy IMHO. would be as SIMPLE as fish and chips and sauce I.E sometimes it just well not only tastes better wet. but well the moistness of the sauce can enhance the moment. Oh and a too dry a rack can be tight and binding. rather anal so some rack assosciated leakage is within design paramaters. I don't really like some of the manufactured ones though.

Yes the original manufacturers part can be a LOT better than the imitation. However SOME asian parts can be of VERY good quality.I.E. too heavy and clumsy, they will get roll over steer at some point. Or roll over and nOT USUALLY THE CASE WITH A LATE MODEL LOW MILEAGE ASIAN ONE-lol
