Our 520i BMW is doing the strangest thing - when idling the whole car being to shake, gentle at first but the longer it idles the greater the shake, it get the whole car shimmering.Rev up a bit and it stops.Anyone know what it could be, have checked all engine bolts - could the revs be set too low!

Air flow meter (AFM) is dirty or a vacum leak, normally 'round inlet manifold somewhere.

In which case - rev it enough and the thing will fly to bits in the engine bay!

No problem with the "wrong white crowd" just PM of it at the moment, you can have the job if you wish.
