planks of wood wouldnt hurt. place them under the drive wheels and it should be ok

You can get more traction by lowering tyre pressures too, but you'll need a small portable air compressor to reinflate the tyres afterwards.

What is the tow vehicle and is it 4x4 etc ! Mud tyres are a primary consideration. Mud chains can be custom made. Then dual wheel combos. Then air lockable diffs. etc

Can you winch, or tow it in with a strop from a firm location.
Chains will help in mud until you start digging a hole with them, then you have a problem.

Try leaving the strop as loose as possible, and "launch" the ute as fast as you can. Don't use a tow ball or non rated D shackles.

got rid of the ute now. What about a winch that we could hook on towbar to winch cherry picker out!
