had a few things plugged into what exactly! Your little light tester thing is telling you you have a blown fuse, having things "plugged in" shouldnt affect the lighting circuit though, unless ofcourse you connected something to that.

Doesn't the lightswitch have to be on in order for the test light to light up! Otherwise there is still a break in the circuit.
