What probs can this cause ! I check the stick , cold is on the bottom , hot about an inch above that , the fluid level is about and inch above the hot mark and it cold.

Check it with the motor running and the gear selector in neutral. If it is within the confines of the marks it is O/K.

It may not change gear properly, personally not too sure('he' who fixes things is away racing), but if it's too full the pressure to change gears will be all wrong.
