HT and AT tyres on same axel, OK?

Hi All,

I know that there are some rules about having the same type of tyre on the same axle, ie, both cross ply or both radial, can't mix directional and non directional etc. What I don't know is, is it ok (by ok I mean legal) to have 1 at and one ht type of tyre of the same size on the same axle, or, do they have to be both AT or both HT!

Cheers.

AT all terrain tyre. HT highway tyre. so if I was to inspect for a wof then this case would be a fail if on the same axle as one is highway and the other a M+S or mud and snow construction
