Yup had a good turning lock on it and was easy to park.It was good to sit higher up and the kids loved it! Drive them both - but bet you'll love the escape!

My mate has one has let me drive it many many times. Very thirsty, but also a pretty powerful engine for a 3.0L V6. Make sure you look around lots!

Buy the escape. Run away screaming from any mondeos, they are expensive to own, and have too many issues mechanically. ONLYcommon fault I have ever found with escapes is the brake boosters get leaks in them. Fix it once with a rebuilt booster,and all sorted

Thanks all :) Have read through a lot of threads on here about Mondeos and some people like them and some definitely do NOT. Although it sounds like the later Mondeos are okay. Have also decided to take a few VW Golf wagons for a test drive as I like the sound of them too. Although the Mk5 models sound like the ones to go for.
