Car insurance. I was about to pop into ami yesterday and renew my insurance with them sadly i didn39t make it before they closed

I was about to pop into AMI yesterday and renew my insurance with them, sadly I didn't make it before they closed. Then last night I heard that they were having trouble with paying out for Chch. Do you guys think it would be wise to stay with them as the government is prepared to help out or should I move on! They have been good to me in the last 5 years and I have never had problems with them. Any suggestions on other companies!

Stick with themgovt will take over if they cant meet their claims ,better the devil you know , & they have treated you ok .

Bingo. I've heard a lot of people saying they're going to leave AMI cos they worry about being paid out. My viewpoint is that they effectively have a Govt guarantee now.
