I mis read I thought they were second hand wipey do. Personally for new or 2nd its case dependant but I have had a dam good run on second hand ones paying less than half the price for a quality tyre with 5 or 6mm tread.

Thanks for the tip, I've tried a few shops, can you point me in the direction of cheaper ones in Auckland! Good comments about tyres that have been stored well. I'm guessing a brand new spare kept in the boot for 8 years MIGHT be OK then!
