Lots of free cars, traded a ride on lawnmower for a 300hp turbo prelude. $600 windom that I drive everyday, awesome car for what I want. Inherited a 96 ford with 30k on the clock which my sister has smoked in, shopping carparked, wheel curbed and dinged to worthlessness

Got my VS commodore for $900 with new WOF a year ago, have put 20,000km on it. My '98 legacy I bought just before christmas for $900, put a new w/screen in, ignition barrel and did a cambelt on it and I have put 5,000km on it since. Owes me $1300.

And my VJ valiant I bought for $1900 a few weeks ago - thats the most I have ever spent on buying a car. 10 months reg, new WOF and just had a service. Not really an awesome deal, but to find a legal and driveable valiant for under $2k is a bit of an achievement.

Bought an old, high Km 2.8 Hiace for $2.5K some years back. Put an extra 180,000 km on the clock, fully depreciated it's value on the books and sold it for $1500 cash. Best value for money transport I've ever had!

$500 for a '98 SSS Bluebird with a stuffed CVT sitting under a tree covered in bird shit about three years ago, had only been in the country 14mths, 117ks, converted it to a manual for $600 and has been a daily driver ever since. Never missed a beat.

I'd have been amazed if you'd get $3500 for a Prelude with that many kms with a body that is a bit sad.Probably you'd get more than it owes you, but I'd have thought that it would be priced under $2k before you'd get a buyer.

in 2009 i brought at turners a 2008 nz new 1 owner skoda roomster for 12200$. i wanted a wagon and was great but ugly car. i didnt know what iw as buying but found they were 37k new. it had done 7000k,s so i traded it on anew mazda cx7 demo down from 42k to 34k and got 23500$ tradein.

Yeh just looking at others i think you maybe right there about asking to much.
not in any rush to sell it so ill list it for alittle less and see how it goes. If i wanted a buyer withn a week then i would price it at 2g but not in any rush to sell so ill tweak it up alittle and see how it goes. thanks for your input;)
Oh and best deal i've had with a car is i swapped a 74 toyota corona that cost me $50 for a HX Kingswood wagon bout 15years ago, sold it for $700 months later and still regret it to this day.(which would be the worse deal i've had)Would love to have the kingswood back now!

Nice.I'm assuming EN something!

I have a soft spot for the EN's, as one of the best cars I have owned was a 1300cc EN wagon in baby blue.Put 25,000km on it in a year including drving Wellington to Cape Reinga and back

Back in 1997 when I used to work for Honda I bought myself a brand new Honda Civic LXI Manual 3 door hatchback. With my staff discount I got 30% off the 27,000 retail price.I paid $18,900 plus $300 on road cost.It only had000,004 km (4 km) on it when I drove it off the showroom floor.I even chose the colour which was to be Toredor Red.
