Correct oil for Mitsi Diamante

I want to buy a big pack of oil. What sort should I get! I know it's 15/40 something but not sure what the best stuff is. Only want to pay around $40 for 4 litres.

for the Diamante i'd go with a synthetic. then it wont blow smoke while you idle at the lights.

15/40 or 20/50 (even a mixture).
30/40 (if high mileage and almost knackered).

15w40 semi synthetic is ideal. You will need closer to 5L

Wow.you must keep up the maintenance on it. I hardly do anything to mine but drive it and put petrol in. Had it for 8 years. Lots of body bumps but it's so solid (if a little thirsty) I feel safer in it than a little run about. Kids always go on about me getting a 'little' car.
