Am interested in this sort of car and wondering if anyone knows much about this. Have read threads on other Mazda carsbut haven't seen anything on this one.

Bought in '06 model of these from japan in '09 for my sister. Been a great car.no issues at all. Go well & handle well. Little bit of road noise but its liveable. Would reccomend to purchasers

Seriously. Mazda 3's (Axela's) are not very fine examples of precision engineering.
I would put money on it, that there will be bugger all 15-20 year old 2007 Mazda Axela's around in the future.

He does go on and on and on, but his ideas do make sense.
In the meantime. Search Trade Me for Audi A3 and VW Golf in the $15,000 bracket and you'll be suprised on the range of cars that are leagues ahead of any Mazda product.

I'd disagree with that - they're ahead in some areas like refinement, but a long way behind as far as having an enjoyable chassis.
