Hi Gents. My neice was driving my Dads car on learners with all the eggy mates inside. Police have impounded Car. Can anyone tell me what the standard time frame of having Car impounded! Is it the compulsory 28days.cheers

its 28 days. if dad can prove it will be detrimental that he has no car, and that he had no idea what his girl was up to he may be able to get it out, but he will still have to pay for the 28 days impound.

As above ^^ . Just like the ones that moan they get snapped speeding or doing xx traffic offensive then wonders why. When they clearly know they were in the wrong but would rather use excuses like oh its 1k over or my speedo is out.

Thats right, she'd get a fine & demerrit points for breaching her licence conditions but that wouldn't impound the car for that. Driving while disqualified or something like that maybe.
