I own two hondas, they give me alot less trouble than some nissans have. Although some of the late 80s hondas were pretty bad. Honda just like any manufacturer really, the have produced some duds.

I have twin electrode platinum spark plugs that are one heat range above standard in it at the moment and have had them for a while. Before that i had standard copper ones. Either one has made no difference at all to the oil fouling. Seems to be more a case of bad valves or rings or pcv valve or something else strange. Have tried some 98 fuel and some moreys in it for now to see if that helps a bit in the mean time until i can get a compression test done.May also try some thicker oil as it is running 10-30 at the moment.

Problem solved. Tested compression and it was within tollerance. So got a new PCV valve thinking it must be that and the oil on sparkplugs has disappeared.
