Can someone please tell me how many cc's in the engine. Need to get the cambelt done, there is a deal on yazoom which closes in 3 hrs, but need to know the cc's of my car before I hit the button. Thanks.

look up your rego on carjam.co.nz . It will tell you there. Chances are its a 1800cc or a 2400cc

Yup, thank you ryanm, its a 1830cc. And thanks mugen. Will click and take the deal now.

Have you done a cambelt on these before!

they are easy enough to do - I would recommend replacing the water pump at the same time though.

btch313, Mar 30, 1:41am
No, and I didnt take the deal cos they are not using authentic parts and may have to wait up to 3 mths for the work to be done.

aftermarket parts are fine, most Mitsubishi workshops will use 'approved aftermarket' parts anyway.

When you get a quote, ensure they quote for all idlers, adjuster, belt, water pump and corrosion inhibitor. This is a minimum when doing a cam belt. Would also pay to ask them to check / replace any cracked drive belts which are often over looked.

Yup, I think I will take to an approved mitsi workshop. Im still driving around, but its on 115ks now, scarey. Will book it it on Monday.

Will do, thanks for that.

if its the garage i think it is i am suplying the parts they are very good mechanics and the parts used are good quality the waterpumps are gmb brand and the cambelt belt is dayco so they are not cheep and nasty gear most shops use these brands

2 garages out in South Auckland. One is in Mangere. Forget their names. But I cant wait 3 mths.
