Can I just ask the guys who say that beemers have lots of things that break on them and are expensive to fix, did the cars that caused you to have this opinion have high ish k's on them when you bought them! What I'm getting at is some cars are not loved by their first or second owner and by the time they get to the third owner things that are breaking then wouldn't have if the first and / or second owner serviced them as they should have been serviced. We bought ours at 51k and it was in brand new condition with all services etc completed as and when they should have been. The car now has 110k and it has only blown a header tank hose and got a leaky power steering pump which Berg says he can fix no sweat. I think beemers are more prone to unreliability and poor performance than other cars if not serviced correctly. . I'm just saying
