3.8l holden V6 auto with a large exhaust. sound bad. also Alfa V6. maybe it's just the V6 config that makes em sound bad. oh and Altezzas with tinny fart cans put on the rear.

B series Honda motors with those hybrid fart cannon exhausts sound the worst since they're torque-less and always under load everywhere they go.

when you study the sound of a V8 it comes out that it is the sound of aninefficient engine eg cc V hp even though i hate the fact a 4cyl produces more HP/KW per cc than any other muitible cyl engine which in turn makes them rev quicker this case is not 100% right but is in most cases

I really dont think I heard a 3 litre altezza, assuming that they are 6cylinder engines! Definitely a raspy sounding 4cylinder I have heard. Not the first one either.

The 6 cylinder ones sound OK, pretty much like any generic 6 cylinder engine sound which is *normally* reasonably pleasant and unoffensive

any stock sounding v8 4 cylander or straight 6 specily with the cool chrome muffler on the back oh and dont forget the dam suby
