Cheers for the info, folks. I've flushed out/replaced the coolant and just put in a bottle of Wynn's stop leak in with the oil. See what happens.

bottle of stop leak wont work. You would still have oil at 50+psi trying to escape beyond a hairline crack in the head gasket into the coolant.
