If it has the CVT trans either take out a drive train insurance policy to cover gearbox or avoid buying one. Engines seem OK.

Lafesta is the latest version of the prarie-liberty. They seem to be a pretty darn solid /reliable piece of kit. The transmission is indeed CVT but so far it would seem that nissan have learned from their mistakes with the earlier CVT transmissions. I would still take an MBI out on the car just in case though.
