Is is worth getting a new cv joint for this model!cost! Or am I better off to get another car altogether! Approx how much should I be asking for if I sell it as is with broken cv joint and paint flakes being the only problems!

CV joint is an easy job automotive mechanic's, i would guess, approx $400.

Ignore the paint flakes. CV joint, one hour labour + parts. Looking at $150 to $200 and yes, it is worth doing.

2 threadssame subject----replace the cv

Replace, do some research and then sell in my opinion.

People are still paying absurd amounts of money for those Corolla's. If you go about it right you can upgrade to a much more modern vehicle with better economy, safety and features for very little more than you will sell the Corolla for.

But only do this if you are prepared to spend the time, sell for the right price and not just buy another Toyota. Otherwise it won't work.

a noisey or "clicking" cv joint is a fail for a wof. about $120 ish for the joint and 1 hours labour, problem solved

A noisy c.v joint is NOT a failure reason for a wof.

Sorry, but no.
