Hi there to all that helped with the choke issue on my 1989 Mazda Familia. The choke on this particular vehicle has a water choke, yes water is used to push the piston forward that turns opens the choke. I found that the previous owner used straight water and this corroded the pipes and this consequently blocked the water flow to where the piston is. Answer was to buy a second hand carburetor and replace the old one. Now I have 3 issues with the change, and they are as follows there is no pickup and there is no kick down for the auto.and I have one vacuum outletat the rear of the carb without a hose. Any help appreciated
