Honda logo 1999 no longer has reverse, ATF fluid dirty and has been abused a bit in its life. all other gears are sweet however Neutral is now a drive gear and will move the car forward which made me think to tighten the trans cable which was quite loose. all tightened up and still getting no where. Any help would be much appreciated.
When put into reverse the car just revs and doesnt do anything, however the car is not able to be pushed in reverse the wheels lockup.

Your cable link is out it sounds like its in p for the wheels to lock up. Take the cable of the box put it in park and see if the leaver on the gbox is all the way over in park and not in R

Is it the CVT transmission!
My grandmother has one.28k on it and the trans is rooted already :/Needs a replacement.
