Everyone's opinion on good value 3rd party car insurance!
My car is old and on it's last legs. I just don't want to crash into a new BMW and end up paying it.
Therefore, I'm looking for cheap 3rd party insurance but also somewhere that is good to deal with if I need to claim. What are the thoughts on Tower, State, AMI, AA! Also, what is the difference if I get it through a bank such as ASB, ANZ, do they just get an insurance company to underwrite it then they whack on a higher fee on top!

I am with AA and have found them very good, but perhaps for your case have you considered visiting an independant broker! I've heard that can be a good way to get cheap & good insurance! not too sure really to be honest

Don't brokers just take who ever gives them the best commission! And aren't they more for health, life, etc

shop around for the best price, check if windscreen cover is included as many don't cover this on third party, a real bonus if they do

AA do now - go online - it's easy to get a quote and policy on their website
