Suzuki GN250 fuel puddle under bike

The last few days, after my bike has been sitting for a couple hours, there is a puddle of petrol under it by the fuel breather hose from the carb. I have tried tapping the carb to clear any gunk out to no avail. Do I need to pull the carb apart, thinking the float may be sticking but not too sure. Also do these bikes have notoriously sloppy front brakes, or do mine need adjustment! Cheers

Are you turning the fuel cock off when its parked!

No I don't normally as it has never been an issue before (nor with previous bikes)

sticky fuel bowl float, worn float valve or incorrect float hight.

Another fix would be to strike a match.
