My Nissan Micra has just failed it's WOF because of rust on the firewall. I take my car to the same testing place and was just there 6 months ago for the last WOF. I keep my car in a garage 75% of the time. Do you think that it is possible that in 6 months of summer weather the rust could go from zero (nothing mentioned in my last WOF) to structurally damaging? Did the WOF mechanic HAVE to fail me? I am now without a car for the long weekend - couldn't I just get a warning?
