then after a full service, the mechanic recommended that the front and rear brakes be replaced. I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether this will throw out the alighnment as the wheels obviously needs to be removed and re-fitted

i think the tires are worn to 3mm left, now come to think of it i probably shouldn't have bothered to alighn until i get new tires

Those oil soaked rear pads can be changed with the axles in place son. You just need to know the tricks
