The argument about depreciation is neither here nor there imo. I like old Falcons and they're worth heaps and it's no wonder. The truth is Falcons have always been (broadly speaking) a better car than the comparative Holden. By better I mean more usable torque/power, more dynamic chassis handling, and better build quality.

I saw the Top Gear rerun last night with the hampster peddling the Mooloo and The supercharged V8 comodes.(badged as Vauxhall) I must say I though MMMMM very nice bit of kit.

My son in law is a die hard Ford fan, who until he test drove a 2008 SS Commy wouldn't have been seen dead in anything from the General.
They tested an XR8 first, then the SS.The youngest of their three children told him this about the rear middle seat in the Ford XR8:
"It's all right for you Dad, but I have to sit in this seat, and it's hard, uncomfortable, and I can't see out the window.And the green car (Commy) got much more room in the back too."
He bought the SS, and so far is still extolling it's virtues after nearly 30 years of driving all manner of Fords - usually V8s.

the comfort of other passengers are not taken into consideration
and along comes holden with better vision and more comfortable seats, especially for the passengers, - and coon drivers with their mirrors turned to show their own face continuously don't get the picture, wonder why

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Modular_engine ford v8s are far superior in tecknology to many others. commodore v6 is a dog, falcon six is far better. and fords 6 block is still going because it is so good. if you dont know anything about cars bubbles go and play in general they might believe your dribble.
