Price of tyres is pretty backwards?!

thought if we got 14's it would be cheaper then replacing our 16s and 17's! nope cheaper for me to get new 17s then new 14s!!
though im sick of ads saying 49 plus for 14s and then they only ever quote you prices over 100. have told them no thanks, they didnt like that lol.

supply and demand. 16's are becoming an oddity these days, and as for 14's and 13's , well it aint 1984 anymore.

How much do you want to pay for new tyres!

kazbanz, Jul 13, 5:55am
16's and 17's new are about $125 plus
Unless its a truely odd 14 it will be $80 each new

^ Yup, tyres are cheap insurance so why cut back on getting good ones that could save your life. Not is the car more enjoyable to drive its safer and possibly even quieter.

My wee Corolla runs 14x5.5. 185/60R14. Probably $150 a corner for something decent.

My MR2 runs double staggered, so a 17 x 8.5 on the back. 245/40R17 $300 each for something decent.
