As the title suggests i am trying to remove the detent lever on a vs holden auto shifter anyone know howi have the shift knob off but cant see how to remove the detent lever

Anyone.! surely someone must of had a play with one on a vp- vn-vr-or-vs i need to take it off the shift lever and replace it with something else

Sorry I couldn't help you with your first question, but now I'm curious. What are you going to use in place of the shift lever!

its in my 3.8 v6 powered lotus 7 race car im building.keeping the actual shift lever.but have made a HURST/B&M type alloy consul that fits over the lever.but it wouldnt fit without removing the detent knob probably going to fit a separate reverse/park lever also
