Airbags in bmw

hastings.wont pass wof cause airbag light on.anyone know how to take this off!

The computer that controls your SRS (airbag) system has detected a fault.The light can only be reset at a service garage that owns a BMW SRS reset computer or equivalent.If the fault persists the light will come straight back on again.The garage should be able to retrieve the fault code for you and determine which part of the system is not working.Replace the part and reset the light again and all should be well.The range of cost to fix will be somewhere between "free" and "Oh my god I'm getting a new car".

highly likely to be the occupancy sensor in the passenger seat base. These fail, and often because they're damaged by someone kneeling on them, or otherwise adding too much downward force - ie - a weight on one knee rather than weight spread across entire ass

Check that the plug under the seat hasnt come out.
