02 vx commy wagon ls1, battery light came on then abs light came on then lights went dim and then dead. would this be the allternator or could it be something else,thx Paul

I'd check the drive belt to begin with.

Then battery terminals, then battery age, condition, then alternator. Try tapping alternator lightly with a hammer, sometimes "shocks" worn brushes into action. If this works, get the alternator brushes replaced.
