Achilles tyres are a good mid range tyre. My brother and sister have them on their cars ( a V8 commodore ute and a Subaru sedan). I haven't heard anything bad about them. Im brand Loyal to goodyear/Dunlop as I used to work for beaurepaires, but all in all I think they would be good feet for a car.

had them on Subaru B4. Good tyre I thought.

Got them on a 2004 Legacy GT wagon. I fricken love them on the Suby.

Great wet grip, and reasonably noiseless. Haven't got any wear data yet (only been on for ~6000km or so) but seem to be alright.

And they were $130 each (215/45 17, I think), so I'm not really overly concerned about wear, TBH.
