Its a Ford falcon 2002 or 2003 XR6. Think it's a BA shape. 160,000km. Purple. Pretty sure its non turbo. Are fords and holdens worth about the same, if comparing the equivalent model!

That's a $1 reserve though, they tend to go cheaper than classifieds and set reserve auctions.

You cant judge a cars value by the listed price on a classified or set price auction. that price is simply what the seller wants for it. the only true way is to look at expired auctions with red flags. this shows what buyers were prepared to pay for it. (the only price that counts)

So your saying an 06 xr6 is only worth 10.5k. Hmm good joke. Those auctions require people to have the finances ready in a short period of time so its not going to go for the same price than if people had say a month to get finances sorted and make decisions etc.

I almost brought 2 of them 3 months ago,Both negotiated to 8k BA 2003 XR6 both around 170km's, That was the cheapest I could find under 200kms, both looked very tidy - one had not been serviced and boot rust,the other had a couple of minor niggles and work up from there.
TBH ended up with a BF wagon (Had a BA before) and it has none of the BA issues that ours had, and alot more economical on the long run IMO compared to BA wgn we had.

Run a careful eye over it ( or someone in the know) for "tin worm" as they can be suspect to it especially around rear screen and in the region under rear parcel shelf/boot lid hinge and rear pillar areas. Tend to be quite poorly painted and rust proofed in hidden areas, like a lot of modern cars and that can include Holden's and many others by the way.
