How much does your car need to be worth to get full car insurance! Can't find anything on any of the insurance websites.

As little as you want, I would have thought.
But if your car is worth $1k, would you want to pay, say, $400/yr in car insurance!

^^As above. Remember you also pay the premium based on the price you insure it for. So say if you buy a $1000 car and insure it for $4000 you will be paying a lot more of a premium. Then, at the end if something happens to your car the value depreciates yearly, so you never would get that $4000 back after a year or two. So I usually change the amount my car is insured for yearly, for this reason. Remember you still pay the same premium each year, even though they will pay you out less, its how they make money.

Most insurance companies offer agreed value insurance. Get them to agree to the value of the vehicle so you know what you would get if a claim is made.
