2007 Subaru Legacy Multi Information Display

The Japanese imported version of these cars have a multiinformation display in the dash cluster. (GT + 3.0r Models). The screen is in Japanese. I have noticed that the NZ New ones are in English. Is it possible to change the language of the Multi Information Display from Japanese to English.

I reckon that too - they've only got a CD in them.
I pulled the CD out but my computer can't read it.

The biggest problem I foresee is that if the system is displaying an engine fault to the Multi Information Display I will not be able to understand it because its in Japanese.

Yeah interesting Idea. Im sure there is an option to switch it over to english. This is a late model car and surely they have intergrated something like this into there system.

Try asking a Subaru dealer. I had heard that there might have been a NZ disc available. When newer version DVDs are inserted, they update the system program, and possibly may change it to English. I also noticed the system asks for a disc 'in english' when there is not one inserted.
The system would receive error messages etc. as data, so should not matter if it's in Japanese or English.
