Going through 4 litres of oil in a month (i hasten to add i do about 500-600kms per week)
No oil burning before 3 - 3500 revs - just over that and on start up (clearing of oil wash into bore i am presuming)

There is a 4afe in Christchurch finishing in about 20 mins for $350. Buy it and swap it over.
