The standard colours are as follows White Earth yellow indicator green indicator red brake brown tail
sometimes the earth maybe black, but not usually, sorry I can't remember which indicator is which. and relying on the tow ball for earth is flawed and unreliable

Just bought 5 meters of cable & 7 pin flat plug today to do a boat trailer wiring job for a friend, yep cable colors are as above with white earth. ( Indicators =Yellow Left /Green Right.) Last job I would have done was about 16years ago and I have a short piece of that cable left in my shed/shop same but black earth. Been out of motor trade for about 24 years after 16 or so in the job, I do my own work still what I can physically tackle, not so able these days.

Brought a caravan off here. Seller told me their was a problem with the lights and he and his brother had replaced them with LED's. Still was doing the wrong thing sometimes. Got a WOF and they new exactly what was wrong and connected an earth> I do like the LEDs though.

Damn wet down here too and cold now to boot, was nice first thing this morning though. we can do with a lot more rain down here to fill the hydro lakes up. I've haven't seen them as low on a long while, weather forecast early next week sounds damn wintery again! Very little snow this year to keep the "wanks on planks" happy.

So you got no paddock! Probably no shed either . an a horse wouldn't have ya. So what do you bring . apart from spouting lame comments and hanging off the coattails of muppets! How many big blocks do you got!

So what did you do in the trade cause Ive seen lots in the trade that I wouldn't let them work on my boys scooter (not motorized) by the way I'm a trade certifiedmechanic oh and trader Ive got big block chev

LOL . Ouch Giddy up . YEEHAAA
trader_84,
Sep 9, 6:42am
My point exactly . I wouldn't pay these clowns squat to touch any of my gear. And look how they squirm when someone who has no qualification in an auto trade achieves the required outcome in a different manner than what they read out of a book. Gawd, one of the pots in my toys carries more capacity than all of these particular muppets stuck together. I bet none of them own a live axle either . or a horse, lol!
splinter67,
Sep 9, 7:06am
Yup if they cant plug it in to a computer they cant diagnose it not really mechanics any more just part fitters same as panel beaters ( not aimed at all mechanics some are good) and I will bet that most of them wouldn't have a clue what a live axle is until they goggle it
lookoutas,
Sep 9, 7:09am
Come on trader - just roll over and admit you had a dumbass suggestion.
And I have 2 big blocks, another that is bigger than a small block, a live axle, and a car you could interpretate as a horse. (although I wouldn't own a real one)
lookoutas,
Sep 9, 7:12am
Be careful who ya calling a parts fitter here splinter.
whqqsh,
Sep 9, 7:16am
I dont see what size of motor you have has anything to do with ability to wire a trailer correctly. unless this has become handbags at 30 paces & some are compensating for lack in certain other areas

Read the whole quote you part fitter lol my next door neighbor came home yesterday car running like a bag of poos had taken it to a local part fitter he told her that it needed new plugs leads cap and rotor. I changed the air filter cleaned the rotor car running sweet as a nut
