looking to take over my uncles car but it hasnt been registered for 4 months (ran out in May) can I just pay the back amount to bring it up to date or do I have to have it fully checked over for compliance etc! I seem to recall that as long as its within a year its just a matter of paying the back amount plus

You only pay from when the ownership changes.
Your uncle will remain liable for the last 4 months.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
