Agreed. I think you guys missed the point that the Corolla is horribly bland and boring no matter how well it goes.
I would happily have driver enjoyment over reliability.

Jazz, I challenge you to find something nice about corollas that I have said. Maybe you have bunched me with everyone, but I hate the damn things. I hate working on them, I hate driving them, I think they look hideous for the most part. Never will I own a corolla because I just think they are awful cars.

And having had an AE82 FX-GT myself I would agree - they were more comparable to the MkII Golf GTi, but that 100 series just lost the plot.

Oh alright, the FXGT models are pretty good but I still wouldn't own one. They make good race cars.
