It is unlikely to be worth it. They are pretty protective of their own vehicle manufacturing industry and charge import fees accordingly.

Highly unlikely it will be allowed in at all.Best you visit the Dept of Transport website in Canberra and contact whoever the state transport authority is in WA before going any further.

MPVs are cheap in Australia, saw one sell recently in Brisbane for $4000 for something with 140,000kms. You would be better off selling your one in NZ and buying something similar once you're in Australia

Check out the prices online before you decide. There are hefty fees and taxes to bring a car into Australia and it will have to undergo a rigorous "pits" before you will be able to use it. If you haven't owned your MPV for more than a year forget it.

Something you may not have considered is that parts supply is poor/non-existent for jap import cars, while oil filters etc are fine, nobody sells import specific car parts as there is no demand. save yourself a headache and buy over there
