car to comment on these cars! you can pick up a fully loaded v8 Merc and bmw for about $16k! where as the 300c are above 20k. Any first hand experiences with any of these cars!

A guy I know was wanting to buy a new car and tried the 300C (amongst others)He said he couldnt believe how crappy it was and ended up with a new Lexus. The 300C is probably ok if you like the American type of car.
I have an older E38 740i BMW and think it is the duck's nuts! I think the BMWs are a bit more of a driver's car than the others. I'm not familiar with the Mercs.
Time for some test drive comparisons I think!

E38 740 - Love it - but no longer drive it 300C SRT8 - Love it - drive every day Also have access to a 2011 F01/F02 750, it is a fantastic drivers car. Not as rough and ready as the 300C though, it is far more cultured. As for the Merc.do not know. Never really been a fan of the styling (the engineering prowess is stunning though)
