What a boring site, hardly anything there, mostly just a big empty box right in the middle, no help at all.

a.woodrow, Nov 23, 4:03am
What was the ticket for! TBH, the only thing I could think of would be insecure load, or careless use of a motor vehicle!

nah no ticket, Just planning. We usually have people on the back of a truck for what we do which has been good as gold with the police, but we may not have a truck available, but a large salvage trailer is going to perform the same task but I want to make sure that its not going to be an issue with the police before we do it. What it involves is basically crawling around the streets stopping frequently with ten people on the back.

Just tell Santa to wave with one hand and hang on with the other.

And don't let little jonny rain on your parade.

You can get done for not having passengers in secure seats/belts. If it is an organised event, go through your council, get relevant permits. Should be ok then.

Yerp need permissions from various agencys & theres a speed limit strictly imposed
An apparent good place to start with would be the local council.
Personally I wouldgo straight to the local rubbish/ recycling contractors management & ask them who are the best contacts for info & permits etc.
They have to have the permits etc for their collections so should have the info "on tap"

No need to get abusive and name call

johnf_456, Nov 23, 3:07pm
lol yeah some people don't know what a search engine is.

MM-matee theres the LAW and then theres common sense. In a lot of cases the two are polar opposites.
The law "somewhere" says that all passengers need to be seated and fastened securely. The exeption being a local bus.
The crawling along at 5km/h part i don't imagine the cops really having an issue with. But the 50km/h stuff too and from I would imagine they would be not happy with at all

Talk to Police. It is illegal. Land Transport Act 1998.

mrfxit, Nov 23, 4:25pm
lol Yeah most people do know what a search engine is,

BUT, the results are NOT what they need.

mrfxit, Nov 23, 4:29pm
Oh go suck on a lemon ;-)~.
How do you think the rubbish & recycling trucks get away with it.
Christmas parades
Home coming celebrations (All Blacks/ Army personal etc)
Protests (apart from "you know who", who has a natural exception)

just common sense really using a search engine and interrupting results

rsr72, Nov 23, 5:25pm
Just do it.
Don't let PC plonkers control your life.

AND what do you do when you CAN'T interrupt the results enough to get the info you need .

Mmmm let me think on that for a mo, NUP burger it.

I think I will ask the helpful traders on Trademe's message boards ;-)
