Well if you read the questions and answer you will see that someone else has one with trans problems too, so you will have to get it very cheap because it will cost a few buck to fixand then some, good looking wagon, pity they not reliable. Any good trans repairer should be able to fix, parts could be a problem, and will take time from overseas. Do some google searches see what you come up with. Good luck.

Yip I know all that but often our man Jazz has a source of parts and good techs.I'm picking its either a timebomb or it will be some stupid thing that costs about $5 but knowing what it is costs about $5zillion.
I freely admit I know next to nothing about lateish VWs.

The trans on the vr6 is crap, hard to get a second hand one now as the have all shat themselves. And why would you want one of those gas hungry pos for any way!
