My parents have one. They like it. Like the driving position and build quality. Travel reqularly between Tauranga and Auckland. No complaints from Dad. He likes it better than the Rav4 he had before.

If was a "mk 1 or 2" Rav4 they are far from the benchmark for driving enjoyment.

I think it was a 2002 model Rav.new NZ. Not sure! They like the higher riding position of the qashqui and it's easy to get in and out of with Dads aching bones. It's not for me personally and I find driving with a cvt gearbox a bit off putting. Much prefer my Xtrail but that's a different beast altogether.

I have a Primera now with CVT which has been excellent - very reliable, relatively cheap to run, but no more Primeras so hence looking for something different.I have narrowed it down to a choice of three now - Hyundai i40, the Nissan and a Skoda Octavia.Cannot decide which one.
