"D" being diagonal ply construction, more likely than the D Speed rating, of 40mph.

Just replace them with a 165R13 light truck 8 ply tyres or 175R13 light truck 8 ply tyres, 185R13(or 185/80x13 if you can find them) won't be cheap, You should be able to find good pair of used 165R13 light trucks tyres
The D look like it means it a bias tyre.( Don't know if I'm right or not)

I'm with VR4 above.If 165/13 LT 8 ply are cheap/easily available, use them, but don't cheap out on a 6 ply.Run them at high pressure (probably 45-55PSI, depending on load).OP will need to have matching tyre sizes (ie on opposing "axles" if it's a tandem trailer). The OP's tyre is a bias tyre designed for trailers.Possibly better, but probably expensive or as rare as rockinghorse faeces in NZ.
