Thanks, glad that fills in the blanks.
Mrs Jazz reckons New World is more expensive, but I have never tested it formally. I would be keen to know if anyone has.

That said, our local New World sometimes has some good meat specials and they do a big pack of eye bacon that is great value on a per slice basis that I will start buying if I am there anyway.

I am not one for wasting fuel and time going to multiple places but if you had the time and they were next to each other (or you walked) it might be worth combining the two. For me though, not worth the effort.

From what you have said Cowlover, your shopping habits are possibly fairly similar to ours, you too may find that your "real world" shop is cheaper at Countdown as well. Its a bit of a job to test the theory though.

For me personally though, even if it was the same price or a bit dearer, I would still shop at Countdown simply for the nicer experience. Especially as I have to be careful of getting worn out doing the shopping (as the next few days can be a write off if I do).

LOL, point taken. I have tried to use "Bacon" as an example where possible and worked in a bit of Alfa Romeo content. but yeah its worrying.

How do you go when buying your toilet paper jazz!
Worked out on a per slice basis like the bacon!

Remember if you get double ply, you can split it for twice the distance!

Toilet paper!
That's for Vitz drivers and other commoners. Those of us used to superior quality items from the continent use a bidet and linen towel's.

countdown have a app which saves your shopping list. lists the specials/deals utilizes the camera to scan barcodes so if you see a item you like at someones house you can scan the barcode check the price add to shopping list. So once set up you can spend 10 mins doing your shoping on your couch and for $8 you can have them picked packed and delivered into your kitchen. Quite often they give you free delivery so most the time there is no extra charge. If you have kids like myne who turn shopping into a blood curdling experience this is for you
