Currently looking at getting a diesel SUV.Several years ago we had a diesel Mazda Bounty double cab ute.

So looking at re - licensing fees. when we had the ute would we have been under the Goods truck/van/utility - Private passenger - non petrol driven - 0-3500 GVM! .i think we were, can't remember.

Anyway an SUV is that just under Private Passenger car - non petrol !

Just trying to work costs involved in getting another diesel.

think of it this way . is it a ute! or a station-wagon

and there lies your answer. a stationwagon is a passenger vehicle

Private "passenger" car / station wagon class is $410.19
"Private passenger" if it's classed as a "Goods truck/van/utility" is $589.25

The likes of Toyota Surf's /Prado's etc are commonalty classed as station wagons despite their size, BUT because of the closed in back section

Also Rucs, as an example . 4000kms will be $199.00 over the counter
